Metta Love's mission was to spread love and happiness through meaningful and enduring gifts. The term "metta," derived from Pali, a language closely linked to Sanskrit, means positive energy and kindness.
The brand aimed to celebrate and share various forms of love realized through their Love Tokens and Friendship Tokens. These tokens held profound significance, symbolizing six distinct types of love: Agape, Eros, Ludus, Philautia, Philia, and Pragma. While the Friendship Tokens, featured the Tree of Life. This symbol held deep meaning across cultures, representing life's essence and interconnectedness with all beings, embodying all six forms of love in one.

Project requirements
Our task was to create a logo that captured the abstract and philosophical essence of Metta Love. We focused on visually appealing, 3D animated "tokens" for Love and Friendship, each incorporating the red Pikorua symbol. This Maori emblem signified life's journey, friendship, eternity, and cultural unity.
Goals
Abstract logo: Design a minimal yet profound logo embodying the abstract and philosophical essence of Metta Love.
Abstract artwork: Craft abstract illustrations to depict the six different types of love and the Tree of Life, seamlessly incorporating the red Pikorua symbol in the background.
3D animated tokens: Develop dynamic 3D tokens, bringing to life both the Love Tokens and Friendship Tokens in the brand's unique style.
Logo design
Metta Love aimed for a design that deeply resonated with both the giver and receiver, aiming to capture this intangible yet profound sentiment.
Minimalist logo
We translated the client's philosophical vision into a clean, minimal design. Using a series of lines, we created a half-spiral staircase symbolizing ascent towards heaven.
Monochrome palette
Opting for black and white, we aimed for a clean, neutral logo. This choice accommodated diverse audiences, transcending emotions tied to specific colours, aligning with Metta Love's inclusive approach across races and religions.

Metta Love sought unique visual designs for both Love and Friendship Tokens in their digital form.
Symbolic design
Each Love Token visually showcased various types of love. The Friendship Token featured the Tree of Life, cleverly forming an embrace between a man and a woman. It also depicted life and death through day and night, sun, moon, and stars. The roots symbolized transparency, trust, and new beginnings.
Red Pikorua symbol
Each Love Token featured the red Pikorua symbol on its tail side, creating a cohesive connection between the tokens.

To enhance the gifting experience, Metta Love wanted a realistic 3D animation of the tokens, creating a loop for added immersion.
Realistic 3D modeling
We meticulously focused on textures, lighting, and overall modeling to achieve a lifelike appearance. This was crucial as these models were intended to serve as actual tokens in future NFT campaigns.
Seamless animation
The tokens were animated in an infinite loop, maintaining efficient file size, while providing a smooth, comprehensive view from front to back.
